BRITISH COLONIAL COINAGE OF CYPRUS (KING GEORGE V 1910-1936)

Coins with various denominations under King George V were issued in Cyprus in 1913, 1919, 1921, 1922, 1926, 1927, 1928, 1930, 1931, and 1934 as follows:

QUARTER PIASTRE (BRONZE)

Obverse: Crowned bust to left. B.M. (Bertram Mackennal) in relief on the truncation and in a circle the inscription: GEORGIVS V REX IMPERATOR.

Reverse: 1/4 within a circle of beads and in a circle the inscription: · CYPRUS · QUARTER · 1922 · PIASTRE · (or 1926).

Obverse: Crowned bust to left. B.M. (Bertram Mackennal) in relief on the truncation and in a circle the inscription: GEORGIVS V REX IMPERATOR.

Reverse: 1/2 within a circle of beads and in a circle the inscription: · CYPRUS · HALF PIASTRE · 1922 · (or other dates).
